Why Venice is Venice

Venice is one of the world’s most famous cities, with a strategic position respect to Europe. Overlooking the sea, the city has 7 kms of beaches, but is also very near to the Dolomites. It has a mediterranean climate, with more than 2000 hours of sun each year, and extremely high standards of quality of life: schools, hospitals, universities and cultural facilities reach the highest international levels.

Security: its particular urban structure makes Venice a very safe city

Metropolitan dimension: the city is part of a wide area, composed of various urban poles

Human resources: the presence of culture, education and research-related activities has created diversified and valuable competences

Cost of living: the city has competitive prices respect to the other main european cities

Competitivity: the GDP of the Veneto region is equal to 96.425 millions of euro (10,7 percent of that of Italy in 2002) and exceeds by 22% the european average)
